【摘要】:ThisTechnicalReportdefinespulsatingflow,comparesitwithsteadyflow,indicateshowitcanbedetected,anddescribestheeffectsithasonorificeplates,nozzlesorVenturitubes,turbineandvortexflowmeterswhenthesedevicesarebeingusedtomeasurefluidflowinapipe.TheseparticularflowmetertypesfeatureinthisTechnicalReportbecausetheyareamongstthosetypesmostsusceptibletopulsationeffects.Methodsforcorrectingtheflowmeteroutputsignalforerrorsproducedbytheseeffectsaredescribedforthoseflowmetertypesforwhichthisispossible.Whencorrectionisnotpossible,measurestoavoidorreducetheproblemareindicated.Suchmeasuresincludetheinstallationofpulsationdampingdevicesand/orchoiceofaflowmetertypewhichislesssusceptibletopulsationeffects.ThisTechnicalReportappliestoflowinwhichthepulsationsaregeneratedatasinglesourcewhichissituatedeitherupstreamordownstreamoftheprimaryelementoftheflowmeter.Itsapplicabilityisrestrictedtoconditionswheretheflowdirectiondoesnotreverseinthemeasuringsectionbutthereisnorestrictiononthewaveformoftheflowpulsation.TherecommendationswithinthisTechnicalReportapplytobothliquidandgasflowsalthoughwiththelatterthevaliditymayberestrictedtogasflowsinwhichthedensitychangesinthemeasuringsectionaresmallasindicatedfortheparticulartypeofflowmeterunderdiscussion.
